Soi Cowboy is located just off Sukhumvit Road. It runs parallel to Sukhumvit between Soi 21 (Asoke Road) and Soi 23 in Bangkok, Thailand.
It is a small Soi, approximately 200 metres long. It is made up mainly of around 40 bars and gogo bars with a few restaurants and guesthouses. The best known, and busiest bars are as follows
Baccara Agogo – this is the last bar in the street (Soi 23 end) but is hands down the most popular. Indeed it gets so busy, and early on too, that it is often impossible to get a seat. It is made up of two floors, with a see-through ceiling/dance floor above. The lower floor is non smoking! However the upstairs, smoking, section is the more interesting of the two by far. It is a favourite bar with Japanese tourist which in turn has led to higher prices.
Deja Vu Agogo – has a reputation for a higher level of educated working girls meaning that a conversation in English is more likely than in other bars on the Soi.
Suzie Wongs Agogo – probably the best known name on the Soi although it is not in any way related to the better known Syzy Wongs in Patpong.

The easiest way to get there is by the BTS Sky-train, Asoke station; around 200 metres walk away. You can also use the MRT Underground which is just a few metres from the entrance into Cowboy.
It is named after an American who opened the first bar in the Soi back in the early 1970’s. He was nicknamed the Cowboy as he always wore a large cowboy style hat.
